Outcome
Updating a product on this scale, for three of our core global markets, required some careful planning and due diligence in collaboration with Google's MD team. We wanted to not only update the interface, but also make significant improvements to the user experience through improved micro-interactions, fluid animations, and navigation. The result scored us a 10% increase in users and provided us with an adaptive, modular-based system, boasting an uplift in revenue and internal productivity.
As part of Google's Play Apps partnerships and due to our high rating 4.4, kaufDA and Retale (US base) were given the opportunity to be featured under Google's prestigious Editor's Section on the Playstore. Several factors are considered for this position — namely performance, experiments through testing and Material Design compliance.
