Your Style Compass

The Fashional app revolutionized the way we find fashion locally. Using geo-fencing technology, users could browse vibrant lookbooks from High Street boutiques to shopping mall mainstays, and search fashion via brand, store, or item. But more than finding tool, Fashional served as a self-curated shopping guide, allowing users to like and save lookbooks, follow specific stores, and come back to their favourites anytime. Additionally, Fashional was a community platform, publishing daily articles on the latest trends, allowing users to ‘vote’ looks up or down, and earn badges for their style savvy.

Opportunity

Originally an incubation initiative, Fashional developed from brand conception to MVP release in just two months. We crafted a unique experience for both IOS and Android whilst maintaining consistency to the brand. Fashional was a passion project that brought together multiple teams including UI, UX, motion design, editorial, content, social media, marketing, and product delivery.

Lean and Agile process

Lean and Agile

Due to the quick release, it was imperative that we received user feedback regularly. User tests were carried out bi-weekly to keep us improving at an agile pace. We soon learned that content was the most crucial component while trend and community aspects were key to user engagement. As such, we focused on social integration by connecting communities via Instagram and Facebook. Soon, fashion fans, users, and influencers alike formed a thriving community, rallying around favourite brands, trends, and styles.
